My name is Paynne, named after the one thing that can never hurt you.
My parents were killed during the war between the Tauren and the Centaurs. My father, a highly respected Tauren warrior, and my mother, a highly skilled druid. They died in Honor. I was only 6 summers old at the time.
At 20 summer's old, my deep black fur and horns, my father's, shone in the light that descended from the skies. My dark red eyes, my mother's, were searching for Goreon.
I spotted him, standing at the edge of the cliff, his hands resting on his huge two-handed axe like a walking stick, his eyes and braids batting from the wind, he was gazing out at the rolling plains. As I walked up next to him and looked out at the plains, he looked down at my dark, scathed hooves.
"Paynne, are you ready?" He said, with a slow, deep voice.
I looked over at him, his gaze did not leave my hooves. I knew what he meant. Today was the day I was to begin my quest to join the fight against the Burning Legion.
After a long silence, I said slowly and distinctively,
"Uncle, I will not let you down."
"I know.", He replied quietly, and then looked back out at the plains.
His face looked proud, but sad. I looked at him with a solid, defiant face.
"The Burning Legion... it is horrible. The Horde needs you. You are ready." He said to the wind.
"You taught me well. Uncle.... I will never forget you."
A tear slid down his face, he quickly closed his eyes and looked away from me.
"You will do Azeroth great. Goodbye, Son."
Standing there, lost at words, I looked down at the ground.
"Goodbye, Uncle....."
I looked up, breifly rested my hand upon his shoulder, drew my hammer, and left.
My destination, honor.
