A public warning has been issued on the www.worldofwarcraft.com home page. The post warns of a recent uprise of scams that are made to look like they are coming from security@blizzard.com. The email requests personal account information from the player. Blizzard assures us that they would never ask for our account information (and truthfully, if they wanted it then they could get it easily), so do not reply to ANY emails asking for it.
The staff asks that you email billing@blizzard.com if you are unsure of the validity of any email concerning your account.
