It's inevitable that at sometime whilst attempting a quest or fighting monsters for experience, your character will succumb to their wounds and die.
Thankfully, however, in the World of Warcraft death isnt as final as you may initially think. Once dead the world turns an eerie ghostly black and white as your character spawns at the nearest graveyard where your character appears as a transparent spirit.
It may take some time to get back to your corpse to respawn, and any armor and weapons you were using at the time of your death immedietly take a 10% durubility hit, but apart from that death isnt toounkind to the residents of Azeroth. There can actually be some advantages!
While playing some quests, being a ghost can help you because you can explore labyrinths and caves to find where you have to go withut being spotted or attacked by monsters, giving you the upperhand.
