World of Warcraft itself dosen't allow for voice communication, so to utilise voice functionality in the game, you'll need to be running a program like Ventrilo (or Vent for short) or Teamspeak in the background while you play WoW - Both of which can be downloaded from their respective sites below.
Once you and your friends have set up with a VoiP client and have connected to each other, your communication woes will be over. It also goes without saying that you'll need a multimedia headset with microphone to get it working...
