When traveling around in the game check the vendors in the area for rare and hard to find items that are designated by the (1) or (2).
These items are only available in a limited quantity from that vendor and when gone are often replaced by another item until that once cycles back around.
Because they are limited in quantity, often found in only a single or limited number of areas, and not alway found at that vendor the re-sale price is high.
A lot of people don't want to bother figuring out which vendor has the item when or traveling far just to find out the item is out. It is far easier for them to reward you for your find in the AH.
