Downloading our Mod and helping the Cause
Having a data-driven World of Warcraft site takes a lot of people to make it run smoothly. Though we have our legion of data collector’s out there we could always use more. Because of this we’d like to you to help contribute to the World of Warcraft GameAmp site by installing the WoW Amp mod.
When installed WoW Amp will memorize all the monsters you click on, the loot you collect, the places you visit and many things. When you upload your data via our Updater, we will validate the information and then update the site according to what you have discovered in your travels.
In due time we’ll be adding more personalized features to the site. These features will let you interact with the site based on your character’s choices in game.

Updating Your Data
Once installed, you can play World of Warcraft without even noticing that the mod is collecting data behind the scenes. When you’re ready to update you simply click on the “AmpUpdater.exe” file and it will prompt you for a few items:
Gameamp Username – You must sign up for an account before updating
Gameamp Password – You must sign up for an account before updating
Location of your World of Warcraft on your computer
Location of your GameAmp.lua file (where all the data is collected). An example of this would be:
C:/Program Files/World of Wacraft/WTF/Account//SavedVariables
Once all the necessary information is updated, click the “Upload Data” button and your data will quickly be sent to GameAmp Headquarters. After uploading you may even notice slight improvement increases because the Updater helps clear files that wow caches.
